COP30 hosts event dedicated to sustainable amazon business

With an intensive agenda, the festival highlights the leadership of the Amazonian business ecosystem in building solutions for the planet.

Belém will host one of the Amazon’s most strategic gatherings during COP30: the Festival of Impact Investment and Sustainable Amazon Businesses (FIINSA). The event will take place on November 10, at the Law Campus of the State University Center of Pará (CESUPA). It will bring together Indigenous leaders, entrepreneurs, public managers, investors, researchers, and civil society representatives in an environment of dialogue, listening, and collective action.

“FIINSA 2025 COP30 – Where Action Speaks Louder” is organized by Idesam and Impact Hub Manaus, co-hosted by CESUPA, and supported by a broad network of partners. The initiative aims to act as a catalyst for positive collaboration, viable businesses, and innovative solutions.

Since its first edition in 2018, FIINSA has established itself as a relevant platform for connection and transformation, generating strategic pathways to strengthen bioeconomy initiatives and expand sustainable businesses.

Now, in its special COP30 edition, the festival broadens its reach, bringing debates on how to move forest-based businesses from theory to practice, how to foster Amazonian economies that respect local time and communities, and how to redistribute decision-making power in the region, among other key themes.

The program includes thematic panels, debates designed to generate actionable proposals, a sociobiodiversity products fair (Mercado Amazônia), spaces for networking and collaboration, as well as cultural and gastronomic experiences. Immersive performances are also planned, such as the simulation of a traditional “herbal bath” — a symbolic Amazonian ritual of protection — along with forest-inspired areas to stimulate meaningful connections among participants.

“We want to showcase the solutions emerging from the territories and their connections with businesses, investors, and other ecosystem actors who are already transforming the local reality. COP30 places the Amazon at the center of the global stage, and FIINSA aims to highlight how this ecosystem drives real change,” says André Vianna, from Idesam.

The panels will feature diverse voices to enrich the dialogue. At the end of the event, an official document will be produced with demands, proposals, and collaboratively developed solutions aimed at strengthening the bioeconomy and sustainable businesses.

“The festival is more than an event — it’s a meeting platform for those who create, invest, and believe in the Amazon. Our focus is to strengthen the bioeconomy, promote socio-environmental impact businesses, and encourage sustainable investment models”, highlights Marcus Bessa, from Impact Hub Manaus.
